Add walls, subtract openings, apply coats and coverage, choose a reserve, then optimize the available whole-can sizes.

How is the amount calculated?
Net paint = (wall area − doors/windows) × coats ÷ coverage per coat. The selected reserve is added next, then whole cans are combined and rounded up.
What coverage should I use?
Interior emulsion is often about 10 m²/L per coat; exterior or porous walls may be closer to 8 m²/L. Use the coverage printed on your paint can.
What does the reserve cover?
Add 5% or 10% for touch-ups, surface variation and small application losses. The result shows net paint, the reserve-adjusted target, purchased volume and leftover reserve separately.
Can I add multiple walls?
Yes — add wall rows by length × height, or enter total area manually.
How are can combinations chosen?
Enter the available can sizes. The calculator chooses the smallest total purchased volume that covers the reserve-adjusted target, then prefers fewer cans.
Can I export the shopping list?
