Add Text to PDF
Click anywhere on a PDF and type — dates, names, remarks — or insert a whole note page at any position. Works with every language; runs locally in your browser, nothing uploaded.
No file handy?
Click the page to place the text · drag to move · slider resizes the selected block.
Text is embedded as a crisp image so every language and script works — it prints perfectly but is not selectable in the output PDF.
Fill, annotate and add pages without uploading
Most PDFs are not fillable forms: scanned contracts, invoices and school forms have nowhere to type. This tool lets you click anywhere on the page and put text exactly there — a date, a name, an amount, a remark — then download the result.
The second mode inserts a whole new page written by you — a delivery note, cover letter or instructions — at the beginning, the end, or after any page. Everything runs in your browser: the documents people fill are exactly the ones that should never touch a server.
Most PDFs are not fillable forms. Scanned contracts, invoices, applications and school forms have no fields to type into — the text layer is either flat or missing entirely. This tool lets you click any spot on any page and put text exactly there: a date, a name, an amount, a short remark. Drag to reposition, resize with a slider, and place as many blocks as you need across pages.
The second mode inserts a whole new page written by you. Type a title and body — a delivery note, a cover letter, handling instructions — choose the position (beginning, end, or after any page) and the tool builds a clean page matching your document’s size.
Text is rendered by your browser and embedded as a crisp high-resolution image, which is why every language and script works — Chinese, Arabic, Thai, anything your device can display. The file itself never leaves your browser.
FAQ
Is the added text selectable in the output PDF?
No. The text is embedded as a high-resolution image, which is what makes every language and font work without uploading anything. It prints perfectly; the original text of the document stays selectable as before.
Can I fill out a scanned PDF with this?
Yes — that is the main use case. Scanned pages are just images, so normal PDF viewers give you nowhere to type. Here you click the exact spot and place the text on top.
Can I add a whole page of instructions or a delivery note?
Yes. Switch to "Insert a note page", write a title and the text, and choose where the page goes: at the beginning, at the end, or after any page number. The new page automatically matches the size of your document’s pages.
Does my PDF get uploaded?
No. Reading, previewing, text rendering and saving all happen locally in your browser with pdf-lib and pdf.js. The output is verified (page count check) before the download link appears.
Why can’t I use a password-protected PDF?
Encrypted files can’t be modified without the password. Remove the password first (with the owner’s permission), then add your text.
