Alarm Clock
A free online alarm clock: set a time, add a label, and the page rings with a tone and on-screen alert. No app, no signup — keep the tab open.
This tab must stay open and the device must be awake. Web alarms cannot ring after you close this page or browser, and a sleeping device cannot run the page on time.
DST policy: nonexistent local times move forward to the next valid local time; repeated times ring once at the first occurrence.
Armed alarms use an absolute next trigger time and catch up once when this open tab resumes.
Days until an event? Event countdown · focus timer: Pomodoro · sleep cycles: Sleep calculator.
Set an online alarm clock
Pick a time, label and repeat rule, then click Set alarm. Test sound, confirm the Armed badge and keep this tab open with the device awake. Save multiple alarms in your browser, copy the list or download the next alarm as a calendar file.
Set one or more alarms right in this browser tab: pick a time, choose repeat (once, daily, weekdays or custom days), and arm it. The page shows a live clock, a countdown to the next alarm, and fires sound plus an optional desktop notification at the target minute.
Honest boundary first: a browser tab is not a bedside clock. The tab must stay open for the alarm to ring — closing it, or aggressive phone battery savers, will silence it. Browsers also require one click before they allow sound (use “Test sound” to unlock), and desktop notifications only appear after you grant permission. For waking up, use your phone’s built-in alarm; this page shines for desk use.
What it is genuinely good at: meeting and break reminders while you work, medication or posture nudges on a desktop, classroom or kitchen timing on a laptop — cases where the tab is open anyway and you want zero installs and zero accounts. Repeat rules run locally; nothing about your schedule leaves the browser.
Worked example: set 12:30 with label “Lunch”, repeat = weekdays. The status line arms immediately and the countdown shows the remaining time. If it is 09:14 on a Tuesday, the next fire is today 12:30 (in 3 h 16 m); on a Saturday it automatically targets Monday 12:30.
Published behaviors — each validated against the live tool: arming shows “Scheduled for” with the exact next fire time · countdown updates live · notification text falls back gracefully when permission is denied · repeat=weekdays skips Sat/Sun. Last verified: 2026-08-12.
FAQ
Will the alarm ring if I close the tab or lock my phone?
No. This is a web page, not an installed app — the tab must stay open. Phone lock screens and battery savers can also throttle timers. For wake-up alarms use your phone’s native clock; use this page for desk reminders while you work.
Why don’t I hear any sound?
Browsers block audio until you interact with the page once. Click “Test sound” after loading — that unlocks playback for the session. Also check the tab isn’t muted (right-click the tab) and system volume.
What does the Repeat option actually do?
“Once” disarms after firing. “Every day” re-arms for the same time tomorrow. “Weekdays” skips Saturday and Sunday. “Custom weekdays” lets you tick exact days — e.g. Mon/Wed/Fri gym reminders.
Do notifications work without granting permission?
Sound and the in-page flash always work after audio unlock. Desktop notifications are extra: if you deny permission, the alarm still rings — you just won’t get the system banner.
Is my alarm schedule uploaded anywhere?
No. Alarms are stored in your browser’s local storage and evaluated by a timer on the page. Nothing about your times, labels or repeat rules is sent to a server.
